Ward Improvement Fund: Local Councillors pop into Sam's Place

Local Councillors pop into Sam's Place

Cllrs Vince Maple & Julie Shaw paid a recent visit to the after school club Sam's Place based at St Pauls with All Saints Church, Magpie Hall Road, Chatham.

The ward councillors for Chatham Central took time to speak with children who attend the well used facility.  The visit was following a grant of £1000 from the councillors ward improvement funds.

Cllr Maple said "This is an excellent facility in the heart of the community.  It brings together children from many schools in the local area.  This integration can make the change from primary to secondary education much easier for some"

Cllr Shaw added "The variety of activities available, along with the good nutritional food available really shows Sam's Place as a great example of a community based after school club"
