Councillor for Gillingham South and Medway Labour Spokesperson for Children and Young People
Clive has a background in education. He has worked as an English teacher and manager in schools in Kent and Medway, as well as lecturing in Further Education and as an Associate Lecturer in Higher Education. As Spokesperson for the Labour Group since May 2018, Clive’s priorities are holding the Tory administration to account on school examination results and exclusions, provision and support for children with special needs, funding of youth services, early years support for children and families and mental health services for children.
