The Local Government Boundary Commission today published its final recommendations for Medway’s ward boundaries, after months of consultation with residents.

Cllr Vince Maple, Leader of Medway Labour and Co-operative Group said, “The Medway Council ward boundaries hadn’t been looked at for some time, this review which has had hundreds of submissions from the Medway public will now be in place for the 2023 elections. My thanks to all those who participated as well as the independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England for their work.”

Cllr Harinder Mahil, Labour & Co-operative Group Boundary Review Co-ordinator added “Having a fair and equitable warding arrangement is vital for a healthy local democracy. This independent process, which has been carried out in the most challenging of circumstances, ensures that we recognise both the Medway of today and the years ahead.”
