Cllr Vince Maple, Leader of the Medway Labour and Co-operative group has today thanked the NHS and all those involved in the vaccination roll out as new figures reveal 63,289 have been vaccinated in Medway

Cllr Vince Maple said,

“The fantastic roll out of the vaccine across Medway is the NHS and Britain at its best. The whole community will want to thank the NHS nurses, doctors, and volunteers responsible for vaccinating the most vulnerable people across Medway. Coronavirus has been the greatest challenge the NHS has faced since it was created by Labour in 1948, and we owe them a huge debt.

“Distributing the vaccine is an absolutely critical step in our journey back to brighter days, but it’s also important to recognise everyone who is playing their own part in beating the virus from our key workers and volunteers, to those simply abiding by the rules. I’m really proud of the way Medway has stuck together through this terrible time.

“Together we will beat this virus – better days are ahead.”
