Medway Students Receive A-level and Vocational Qualification Results

A-level and Vocational Students across Medway have received their results today. Results have been awarded on the basis of teacher assessments that have been quality assured.

Cllr Clive Johnson, Medway Labour and Co-operative Shadow Cabinet Member for Children and Young People said:

”This year has been another incredibly difficult year for Medway’s young people.  For a long time, the Conservative government dithered and sowed confusion about how this year’s qualifications would be conducted.  Today’s results are a testament to the hard work and dedication students, teachers and educational leaders have shown over the past two years of real challenge to them all.

“I pay tribute to the staff and pupils who have accomplished so much in spite the fact that, since 2010, sixth forms have seen massive funding cuts and overall school funding has decreased in real terms.  These cuts to funding are unsustainable and I call on the government to put education at the heart of the response to the pandemic and deliver on their manifesto pledges to address inequality and support the future of our young people.”
