Medway Labour & Co-operative Group welcomes the cross-party consensus at the special call-in meeting of Business Support.  The meeting was triggered by Labour and Co-operative Councillors requesting further examination of a recent cabinet decision regarding Queen Street.  Due to the confidential nature of the original cabinet report item, further specific details cannot be shared but the meeting had a strong cross-party consensus sending several key recommendations to cabinet for consideration at a future cabinet meeting.

Cllr Vince Maple, Leader of the Medway Labour and Cooperative Group said:

“I welcome the strong cross-party consensus on the decision taken at the call-in Business Support meeting.  Due to the confidential nature of the substantive issue specific details cannot be shared at this time but I hope the cabinet takes forward the recommendations as soon as practicably possible.”
