Medway Labour and Cooperative Group today expressed concern about a recent confidential report to Cabinet. While the content of that report and the discussion are not public, Medway Labour and Cooperative Group have insisted that the report should be debated by Medway Council’s Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee on Wednesday 8th June.
Cllr Clive Johnson, Shadow Cabinet Member for Children’s Services has placed the item on the agenda as a Member’s Item, meaning that the committee will have the opportunity to discuss the report at length. That discussion will also be confidential.
Cllr Clive Johnson said today, ‘The details of this item must remain confidential. However, as in the recent Call-In of the Queen Street confidential cabinet report that was discussed at Business Support Overview and Scrutiny, Medway Labour will always focus on what is best for Medway.’
