The Medway Labour and Co-operative Group share the frustration of many local residents who are disappointed that the swimming pools at Medway Park are currently out-of-use.

Councillor Simon Curry, Medway Labour and Co-operative Group Spokesperson for Regeneration, Culture and the Environment said:

“Residents will be rightly angry about the latest failing from Conservative-controlled Medway Council.  As the Labour & Co-operative opposition we have been repeatedly calling for further condition surveys and information on leisure sites following what happened at Splashes which fell into permanent disrepair and meant demolition was required. A lack of information about the timescale for the re-opening of Medway Park’s swimming pools will be giving residents understandable cause for concern.”
