The local Labour and Co-operative Group are sending their congratulations to students all over Medway who received their exam results this week.

Cllr Clive Johnson, Medway Labour and Co-operative Group Shadow Cabinet Member for Children and Young People said:

“This year’s A-Level, BTEC and T-Level students have worked hard in an exceptional set of circumstances, having missed the opportunity to gain experience in the GCSE exam period due to Coronavirus a couple of years ago.

“Furthermore, almost all of their entire school career would have taken place under the context of severe real terms cuts to the education sector since 2010. These cuts have been harsh, and Britain urgently needs a Labour government that will invest in our next generation.

“Credit must go to students, teachers and educational leaders for performing so well in such a challenging situation.”
