All 6 Labour and Co-operative Councillors from the Gillingham North and South wards have signed a letter in support of the Open Lines bid which aims to secure the much-needed investment that Gillingham needs.

Cllr Dan McDonald, Member for Gillingham South said:

“As local Gillingham councillors, we’ve been campaigning for more investment in our wards for a long time.

“The plans of the bid that’s been submitted for more funding will bring clear economic, transport and environmental benefits to Gillingham, and I was eager to co-sign this letter in support of it.”

Cllr Adam Price, Member for Gillingham North added:

“As evidenced from this letter of support, all 6 Labour and Co-operative councillors in the Gillingham wards are unanimous in our support for the Open Lines bid.

“We were particularly pleased that our previous feedback had been taken on board, and that this bid focused on economic regeneration with the creation of a skills hub, as this would be particularly beneficial to our local economy in these challenging times.”
