The Medway Labour and Co-operative Group are proud to support our local Medway businesses on this Small Business Saturday.

Cllr Vince Maple, Leader of the Medway Labour and Co-operative Group said: 

“I’m proud to support Small Business Saturday today. Lots of attention is given to Black Friday and Cyber Monday at this time of year, but it’s important that we recognise the value of our fantastic small businesses in Medway that directly serve our community. I encourage all people in our area to shop local not just on Small Business Saturday but all year round to support our Medway businesses who have been challenged a lot due to the pandemic recently.”

Cllr Lauren Edwards, Medway Labour and Co-operative Group Member for Rochester East added:

“Labour is on the side of small businesses in Medway. That is why I put pressure on the political leadership of Medway Council last month to demand the government provide more support for local businesses, most of whom are contending with spiralling energy prices amid already challenging conditions. This year its more important than ever that we shop locally in the lead up to Christmas. I’ll be out in my ward in Rochester today supporting our small businesses and I encourage all residents to do the same.”
