The Medway Labour and Co-operative Group are continuing their campaign to protect our community through vaccinations and are now appealing for residents to get their booster jabs.

Cllr Stephen Hubbard, representative for Strood North said:

“I had my Covid vaccine booster jab at Bryant Road Pharmacy in Strood. I have been a patient at the Pharmacy for all the years I have served as a councillor and before that. The owners, the Mangal family, have been community leaders for even longer.

“It is great to see that they have invested in their business to provide this community Covid-19 vaccination service. They are a real asset to Strood.”

Cllr Teresa Murray, Medway Labour and Co-operative Group Spokesperson for Health added:

“The Labour Party were proud to support the #LetsVaccinateBritain campaign last year in cooperation with the TUC and The Mirror. International statistics demonstrate clearly that high rates of vaccination give areas increased protection against Coronavirus. We’re calling on Medway residents to play their part once again, get their boosters jabs, and protect our community.

“I have been delighted to support the vaccine clinics as a volunteer and have seen first-hand how hard local NHS staff have worked to get the jabs where they are needed, often on top of their main jobs. We all have a responsibility to protect each other and are still some way from a 100% vaccination rate.”
